Cluj Napoca
Cluj-Napoca (Klausenburg) is the capital of the district of Cluj, in Transylvania. On the 1st of January, 2008 it had 309,300 inhabitants, it is thus the third largest city in Romania, after Bucharest and Timisoara.
Cluj-Napoca was not only an administrative and military center, but also one of the major cultural centers of Romania, being the capital of Transylvania. In Cluj, there are several universities, one of which teaches in three languages (Romanian, Hungarian, German), a Romanian and a Hungarian theater and a branch of the Romanian Academy, just to name a few sites. Companies can be found easily in the Transylvanian city, which has a well-educated, multilingual workforce.
Cluj-Napoca can be reached in just two hours by plane, flying directly from Frankfurt or to Budapest from major German airports.
